Mormons in Utah
The Washington Post, 14 February 2002
Misstatement:
"Ninety percent of the people in Utah are Mormons."
Fact:
Approximately 73 percent of the citizens of Utah are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. More than half of the Church's 11 million members live outside of the United States and only 14 percent of the total reside in Utah.
