Brigham Young's Home, Nauvoo, IllinoisB. H. Roberts (18571933) Photograph, 1886 Brigham Young built this brick home for his family in 1843 after returning from his second mission to England. It replaced his first home, a small log building. As President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Brigham Young led the Church after the martyrdom of Joseph Smith.
