Mutual is generally once a week on a day or an evening other than Sunday or Monday. If travel, resources, or other significant circumstances prevent a weekly meeting, priesthood leaders may recommend the frequency of Mutual.

In small wards or branches Young Women activities might be coordinated with ward or branch activities, family activities, and (where applicable) Church Educational System (CES) activities. When possible, participation in stake or district activities can give young women in small units the opportunity to interact with a greater number of youth.
