The bishopric oversees Sunday quorum instruction. The bishopric normally calls quorum advisers to teach Sunday lessons. Bishopric members, quorum presidency members, and other quorum members may occasionally teach lessons also.
Advisers normally should follow the sequence of the lessons in the Aaronic Priesthood curriculum manuals.
Aaronic Priesthood quorums may be combined if there are few quorum members. Each quorum should have its own presidency even if quorums meet together.
Teaching the doctrines and principles of the gospel is a significant responsibility of Aaronic Priesthood leaders. Quorum leaders should see that lessons and discussions are useful and doctrinally correct and that they are uplifting and help build faith. Leaders may invite the young men to help teach some lessons.
After priesthood opening exercises, brethren usually separate for quorum meetings. In addition to teaching the gospel, these meetings provide opportunities for brethren to work together in building the kingdom of God and help youth grow individually and collectively. These meetings are used to:
- Prepare young men for priesthood service.
