A young woman is a daughter of Heavenly Father, who loves her and whom she loves, who hears and answers her prayers, and who has a plan for her happiness.
"When I was first called as Young Women general president, I kept repeating in my mind, over and over again, the first line of the Young women theme: 'We are daughters of our Heavenly Father, who loves us, and we love Him.' I thought about young women all over the world who repeat it. Do they feel it, know it, and act upon it?
"I now ask young women everywhere I go how they know of His love. We can know and feel of Heavenly Father's love for us in many ways. Through the Holy Ghost, we may know that our Heavenly Father loves us:
- When He blesses us.
- When we read the scriptures.
- When we pray.
- When we keep our covenants.
- When we experience the peace of nature.
- When we are surrounded by family members and other caring loved ones.
- When we go through trials and receive comfort."
