- 1986 — First Young Women worldwide celebration, "Rising Generation," with launching of balloons
- 1987 — Young Women theme, age-group mission statements, motto, and logo are introduced
- 1988 — Young Women, Relief Society, and Primary offices move into remodeled Relief Society Building
- 1989 — Second Young Women worldwide celebration, "Stand for Truth and Righteousness," with bell ringing
- 1990–91 — Leadership guidebook published and video released
