Young Women
Evaluating an Activity

Young women

After a stake or multistake Mutual activity, set aside some time with youth and leaders to evaluate the activity. You can be guided by the following questions:

What?

Ask leaders and youth questions about what occurred during the activity, such as:

  • What was the best part?
  • What were the challenges?
  • How did you feel?
  • Was this a spiritual experience?

So What?

Ask the youth questions that help them think about the activity in terms of gospel principles. Questions might include:

  • Why did we do what we did?
  • What little miracles did we see?
  • When did you recognize the Spirit?
  • How did the activity help someone?

Now What?

Ask the youth to think about how the activity will affect them in the future. You might ask:

  • What difference will this activity make in your life?
  • Will you do anything differently in the future because of what we have done?
  • What have you learned?

You may want to ask youth to write down their feelings and what they learned in a personal journal or to share their feelings and thoughts with leaders.
