After a stake or multistake Mutual activity, set aside some time with youth and leaders to evaluate the activity. You can be guided by the following questions:
What?
Ask leaders and youth questions about what occurred during the activity, such as:
- What was the best part?
- What were the challenges?
- How did you feel?
- Was this a spiritual experience?
So What?
Ask the youth questions that help them think about the activity in terms of gospel principles. Questions might include:
- Why did we do what we did?
- What little miracles did we see?
- When did you recognize the Spirit?
- How did the activity help someone?
Now What?
Ask the youth to think about how the activity will affect them in the future. You might ask:
- What difference will this activity make in your life?
- Will you do anything differently in the future because of what we have done?
- What have you learned?
You may want to ask youth to write down their feelings and what they learned in a personal journal or to share their feelings and thoughts with leaders.
