Idea 6: Youth Teaching Youth about Standards

The youth themselves can be a powerful influence for good in helping their peers understand and live the standards.
           
Activity

  1. With a class or quorum presidency or youth committee, study the truths underlying the guidelines for "Music and Dancing," pages 20–21 of For the Strength of Youth.

  2. Plan a youth dance.

  3. Have youth participate in determining the type of dress, the music to be played, and the type of dancing to be allowed at the dance.

  4. Select members of the youth committee or presidency to explain to their class or quorum members the music and dance standards that have been agreed on.
