Young Women leaders are adult women over the age of 18, called and set apart by priesthood leaders. A Young Women presidency usually has four members—a president, first counselor, second counselor, and secretary.
If there are not enough adult sisters or if the number of young women is small, begin with just a president. As the number of adult sisters and young women increases, you may call additional presidency members. (See Small Wards and Branches; see also L. Tom Perry, "Basic Unit Program," Worldwide Leadership Training Meeting, Jan. 2003, 7–10.)
