Important Questions for Priesthood and Auxiliary Leaders

When planning a stake or multistake Mutual activity, consider the following questions:

  • What are the needs of our youth?
  • What do we want to have happen?
  • What is our purpose and vision?
  • What type of activity will we have in order to accomplish our purpose?
  • When is the best time to hold this activity?
  • How much will it cost?
  • How long will it take to organize this event?
  • What regular ward or stake event will this larger event replace?
  • How will this activity impact ward leaders?
  • How far will people need to travel?
  • What are the transportation needs?
  • How can we include youth in planning and leading?
  • Who will be invited to the activity?
  • Where can this event be held? Consider the size of the group, the time of year, the type of activity, and costs and available funds.
  • Do we want to choose a theme?
  • What equipment will we need?
  • Is there a special occasion, such as a temple dedication, anniversary, or historical commemoration?
