(Mary’s family and Micham enter. Four young boys, including Mary’s Brother, carry the wedding canopy. As the chorus of angels sings, Mary’s Mother drapes white wedding attire over Mary’s costume, while across the stage Micham assists Joseph to dress in white. Zacharias and Elisabeth, holding a newborn baby, observe. Mary and Joseph approach Mary’s father, who stands under the canopy. He wraps their right hands together with swaddling bands.)
