Gospel Doctrine teachers: The lessons in the manual contain more information than you will probably be able to teach in one class period. Seek the Spirit of the Lord in selecting the scripture accounts, questions, and other lesson materials that best meet the needs of class members.

Suggestions for Teaching

• The lesson manual provides the following teaching suggestion: "Use appropriate pictures and video presentations to invite the Spirit, add variety to lessons, and help class members remember the scriptural accounts they discuss (see Teaching, No Greater Call [36123], pages 160, 176)" (lesson manual, page 9).

• The manual provides the following suggestion for concluding the lesson: "Testify of the truths you have discussed in this lesson. Encourage class members to rejoice in the birth of the Savior and follow the example he set in his youth" (lesson manual, page 12).
