Meet regularly, one-on-one, with the priesthood adviser to discuss:
Local priesthood objectives that may be achieved through building relationships with selected opinion leaders.
Priesthood leaders' knowledge of local issues faced by the Church that could help or hinder the mission of the Church and could be addressed through relationships with selected opinion leaders.
Organize and conduct (with approval of the priesthood adviser) regular public affairs council meetings to plan and implement the work of public affairs.
Help develop and implement the council’s road maps—each road map representing the action plan or contact plan for reaching a specific opinion leader.
In meetings and other interactions with opinion leaders, make every effort to build the relationship between the opinion leader and priesthood adviser.
Ensure that a record of interaction with opinion leaders is maintained by the public affairs council.
Prepare and accompany designated spokespersons (priesthood adviser, other priesthood leader, or designated Church members) to media interviews and news briefings, or delegate to the council’s media relations assistant.
