Relief Society General Presidency

At the BYU Women’s Conference held May 1, 2009, Sister Julie B. Beck, general Relief Society president, spoke about nourishing and protecting the family. Some of the references she used in her address include the following topics: The Family, Marriage, Responsibility of Eve, Marriage is Essential, Importance of Family, Threats to the Family, Children, Pornography and Internet, Teaching Families, and Love at Home.

“The way we dress demonstrates our understanding of and commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ. In a world that constantly tries to undermine our sense of who we are and what we can become, observing the principle of modesty can improve our confidence” (Silvia H. Allred, “Modesty: A Timeless Principle for All,”  Ensign, July 2009, 28).
