SUSAN C. JONES
Young Women General Board Member
Susan Jones was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. She received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Brigham Young University. Sister Jones married Jeffrey M. Jones in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of one daughter and three sons.
Sister Jones has served as a Young Women president, counselor, and adviser; Relief Society counselor and teacher; and Gospel Doctrine instructor. A few of her favorite things include traditional quilting, studying the scriptures (particularly the Book of Mormon), reading children’s literature and books based on World War II, entertaining family and friends in her home, and going on adventures with her grandchildren. Her favorite scripture word is “remember.” Sister Jones has gained much strength and direction in her life from Helaman’s counsel to his sons to “remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation, . . . a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall” (Helaman 5:12).
