VILMA M. SAGEBIN
Young Women General Board Member
Vilma Sagebin was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia. When she was six years old, her family moved to São Paulo, Brazil. She married Fabio T. Sagebin in the São Paulo Temple. They are the parents of four sons and two daughters and the grandparents of three.
In 1992 Sister Sagebin became a flight attendant for United Airlines, a position that she still holds. She served as a full-time missionary in the Brazil Porto Alegre Mission, in the women's auxiliaries of the Church, and as a seminary and institute teacher in Brazil. Prior to her calling to the Young Women general board, she and her husband served as a ward young single adult representatives.
Sister Sagebin enjoys sports and cooking for family and friends. She loves to travel and meet new people all over the world. Since her conversion when she was 16 years old, she has devoted her life to her family and the gospel of Jesus Christ. One of her favorite scriptures reads, “Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good” (Alma 37:37).
