CHRISTINE J. VAN WAGENEN
Young Women General Board Member

Christine Van Wagenen was born and raised in California. She attended Brigham Young University, where she met her husband, Michael J. Van Wagenen. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple and are the parents of four sons and two daughters and grandparents of eight.

Prior to her call to the Young Women general board, she was serving as a Church service missionary. Sister Van Wagenen previously served as a ward Young Women president and Relief Society president. She has also served in various auxiliary leadership positions in her stake.

Her passion for life is based on the confidence she has in the Savior’s admonition: “Look unto me in every thought; doubt not, fear not” (D&C 6:36).
