Conduct the Meeting in a Way That Invites the Spirit

Arrange the gathering place in an orderly way, inviting the Spirit to be present and helping sisters focus on the purpose of the meeting.
Welcome sisters warmly.
Acknowledge visitors and new members.
Sing a hymn together and offer a prayer to invite the Spirit of the Lord. If possible, arrange for the songs and prayers before the meeting so each sister who is participating can prepare.
Give announcements, including upcoming events, happenings that sisters need to be aware of such as births or illnesses, and compassionate service needs. Keep announcements well organized and brief to save time for the lesson.
Briefly introduce the teacher and the topic of the lesson. Allow the teacher to decide how the lesson time is used.

After the lesson, thank the teacher and offer a brief affirming testimony of the truths taught. Sing a closing hymn. Close with prayer.

Coordinate the total length of the meeting with ward or branch priesthood leaders.
