Walk outside of the visitors' center and enter the Monument to Women memorial garden. Dedicated to women of the past, present, and future, this beautiful garden displays 13 life-size statues of women, each depicting a different role women play in the home and in society.
During the summer, enjoy musical theater productions about Old Nauvoo at the visitors' center and historic Cultural Hall (reservations are necessary; call 1-888-453-6434). Participate in campfire variety shows (May through August; no tickets necessary). Or enjoy the new Nauvoo Pageant, an outdoor musical drama celebrating the restored gospel and the faith of early Latter-day Saints in Nauvoo (no tickets required).
