Visit the Scovil Bakery to experience a baker's lifestyle before the days of electric and gas ovens. See the baking equipment of the 1840s, including a bustle oven, an open hearth and a spider pan.

Lucius and Lucy Snow Scovil owned and operated this bakery on Old Nauvoo's Main Street. They not only made and sold baked goods, crackers, candy, and jellies, but also operated a catering service and made wedding cakes.
