Visit the Stoddard home and view a restored 1840s tinshop, complete with tools and a demonstration of tinsmith techniques.

Tinsmith Sylvester Stoddard lived and worked in this home and shop, both completed in 1844. Sylvester made and sold many types of tinware, including lanterns and kitchenware. He also installed stoves and pipe in many buildings in Nauvoo. This home and shop have since been restored.
