Tour one of the finest and best-preserved brick houses of the 1840s--one of the only homes in Historic Nauvoo furnished with the original inhabitants' belongings.
Inspired by his missionary service in England, Woodruff added a fireplace to every room in the Nauvoo residence and selected furnishings with a definite British flare. Wilford Woodruff became the fourth President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Woodruff house was continuously occupied from the 1840s until restoration began in 1962. It was the first building to undergo a documented architectural renovation.
