Today’s Family: We Believe in Children
“As we look into the eyes of a child, we see a fellow son or daughter of God who stood with us in the premortal life,” said Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. “It is a crowning privilege of a husband and wife who are able to bear children to provide mortal bodies for these spirit children of God. We believe in families, and we believe in children.”

‘Pray Always’
Warning that the world has moved far from spiritual things, President Thomas S. Monson spoke during one of his October 2011 general conference addresses on the importance of communicating with Heavenly Father through prayer. Elder Richard G. Scott of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles also stressed the importance or daily, fervent supplication of and communication with Heavenly Father, in a general conference address he gave in 2007.

Correction Can Create Opportunities for Growth
“Humility is a willingness to receive correction and counsel,” Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said at a leadership training for Church employees. “If we are humble, if we can cultivate that attitude in ourselves, then we will be in a better position to receive correction. And if we can encourage humility in those we work with, they’ll be in a better position to absorb that kind of correction.”

Purpose of Temples Is Exaltation, Elder Oaks Says
“As one born and raised in Utah County, and as one with many ties to Payson and adjoining cities . . . I was thrilled with President Monson’s announcement of this Payson Temple,” Elder Dallin H.
