Merciful, Mercy
The spirit of compassion, tenderness, and forgiveness. Mercy is one of the attributes of God. Jesus Christ offers mercy to us through his atoning sacrifice.
- The Lord is merciful and gracious:Ex. 34:6; ( Deut. 4:31; )
- His mercy endureth for ever:1 Chr. 16:34;
- Goodness and mercy shall follow me:Ps. 23:6;
- He that has mercy on the poor is happy:Prov. 14:21;
