Word of God
Instructions, commandments, or a message from God. God’s children may receive his word directly by revelation through the Spirit or from his chosen servants (D&C 1:38).
- By every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live:Deut. 8:3; ( Matt. 4:4; D&C 84:43–44; )
- Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path:Ps. 119:105;
- They were all filled with the Holy Ghost and spake the word of God with boldness:Acts 4:31–33;
- The iron rod was the word of God that led to the tree of life:1 Ne. 11:25; ( 1 Ne. 15:23–25; )
- Ye were past feeling, that ye could not feel his words:1 Ne. 17:45–46;
