On December 23, 2005, the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, together with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square, presented a program commemorating the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Joseph Smith. The program originated from the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, with a coordinated broadcast from Sharon, Vermont.
A DVD of this event is now available through Church distribution centers. In addition to containing the entirety of the program in English, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Samoan, Spanish, Tahitian, and Tongan, this DVD also features images of art, artifacts, and important sites related to the Prophet's life (text for these features is in English only). The program will soon be available in additional languges on future DVD releases.
