Young Men General Board


 

Ron L. Andersen

Brother Ron L. Andersen, 56, was called as a member of the Young Men general board in June 2009. He holds a master’s degree from the University of Idaho in guidance and counseling, and he is currently employed by the Church as a manager of field operations for LDS employment resource centers in parts of the United States and Latin America.

Brother Andersen has served as bishop, counselor in a stake presidency, and various Young Men and Scouting assignments.

Brother Andersen is married to Kathleen Brown, and they are the parents of five children. They currently reside in Salt Lake City.


Charles L. Cutler

Brother Charles L. Cutler, 47, was called as a member of the Young Men general board in April 2012. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Clinton L. and Carma N. Cutler.

He is the managing partner of a financial planning and investment management firm in Salt Lake City.

He has served previously as a counselor in two stake presidencies, high councilor, bishop, ward Young Men president, and president of the Texas San Antonio Mission. He was a full-time missionary in the Quito Ecuador Mission.

He graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor of science degree in business management with an emphasis in finance. While at BYU he was named to the academic all-American football team two consecutive years.

Brother Cutler is married to Michelle Maxfield, and they are the parents of seven children. Their home is in Draper, Utah.


M. Winston Egan

Brother M. Winston Egan was called as member of the Young Men general board in June 2009. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Merritt H. and Marcia W. Egan. Brother Egan is an emeritus faculty member of the David O. McKay School of Education at Brigham Young University. Most of Brother Egan’s callings in the Church have involved youth and young single adults.

He has served in two stake presidencies, as bishop in two different Young Single Adult wards, and as stake or ward Young Men president multiple times. Brother Egan is married to Linda Mangum, and they are the parents of four children and presently twenty-two grandchildren. Their home is in Lehi, Utah.


Robert H. Heyn

Brother Robert H. Heyn was set apart as a member of the Young Men general board in April 2012. Prior Church service includes serving as president of the Mexico Tijuana Mission, in a stake presidency, as bishop, as mission counselor, and as a missionary in the Bogota Colombia Mission.

He has a degree in systems administration from Politecnico GranColombiano University and bachelor's and master's degrees in management information systems and business management (MBA) from Brigham Young University. His professional career includes working for corporate, nonprofit, and entrepreneurial organizations. Currently he is a director for a nonprofit organization in Salt Lake City.

He was born in Bogota, Colombia, and is married to Yolanda Santamaria. They are the parents of two boys.


Mark J. Pendleton

Brother Mark J. Pendleton 58, was called as a member of the Young Men general board in April 2012. He is currently employed by the Church in the Missionary Department as an in-field representative and trainer.

He served as a mission president in the California Roseville Mission, stake president, bishop, high councilor, stake and ward Young Men president, stake young single adult adviser, and Scoutmaster. He served a full-time mission in the California Oakland Mission. 

Brother Pendleton is married to JoAnn Jordan. They are the parents of five children and have nine grandchildren. They currently reside in Salt Lake City.
