Are young missionaries called to Cyprus?

Usually, the only North Americans called to serve in Cyprus are couples.

Do missionaries need to send their passport to Missionary Travel?

Missionaries assigned to Greece, Athens DO need to send in their passports.

Missionaries assigned to the Cyprus region DO NOT need to send in their passports.

Do Cyprus missionaries apply for their visa in the U.S.?

Couples who will be serving in Cyprus will collect all the documents from the list of requirements on their instruction sheet. Upon arrival they will apply for their visa and will be instructed by a senior couple who is currently serving in Cyprus. 

The instructions say that Greece missionaries have to make a personal appearance. Who should missionaries speak with? What do missionaries need to do?

If needed, a personal appearance appointment will be set up 3 weeks prior to the missionaries missionary training center date. Missionary Travel will set up a conference call with the missionary on instructions before this personal appearance. All the missionaries need to worry about now is preparing the documents listed on their instruction sheet.

What if missionaries are planning an international trip before entering the missionary training center?

Missionaries assigned to the Greece, Athens mission without the Cyprus component MUST send in their passports 6 weeks early for processing.

Missionaries assigned to the Cyprus region can use their passports up to their MTC date.
