Audience: Families (children, youth, and adults)
Objective:Families will have a discovery experience by creating a video or audio recording of an ancestor’s or family member’ story.
Use a corner of your center or a room in the meetinghouse as a place where families can create a video or audio recording. Make sure that the place is quiet enough and sufficiently lit for video or audio recording.
Encourage families to talk about how parents met and were married, the birth of children, baptisms, and other special events. You could encourage stories by asking questions such as:
- Do you remember when you first met?
- What was [name] like when he was 10 years old?
Help participants upload stories as audio files or transcriptions to the tree on FamilySearch org.
