Young single adults worldwide are invited to participate in a live Face to Face online event with Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on March 8, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. mountain standard time. Elder Holland will be joined by Sister Carole M. Stephens, first counselor in the Relief Society general presidency, and Elder Donald L. Hallstrom of the Seventy.

“I cherish every chance I get to interact with the young single adults of this Church,” said Elder Holland. “I wish I could meet with each of them individually, look each one in the eye, and express my love personally. Constraints of time and distance make that impossible, but fortunately social media helps us loosen those constraints. That’s what is so exciting about our worldwide Face to Face events. We call them “face to face” because it feels a bit like that—asking and answering questions in real time, in a setting that feels more intimate than what we might otherwise get.”

The March 2016 Face to Face is the sixth Face to Face event the Church has sponsored but the first directed specifically at young single adults. Face to Face events feature special LDS guests answering real questions sent in by participants and are viewed by tens of thousands worldwide during and after the broadcasts.

“The other exciting thing about Face to Face events is the way their messages seem to spread far beyond the audience we originally anticipated,” Elder Holland said. “Again we have social media to thank for this, not to mention the young people who eagerly share these messages with friends—and friends of friends of friends. That has been our experience with Face to Face events for youth, and I can only imagine what our experience will be with our young single adults.”

Elder Ronald A. Rasband taught the youth in January’s Face to Face event about pressing forward with a steadfastness in Christ as part of a kickoff for the 2016 Mutual theme. In Face to Face with the Piano Guys, youth learned about putting their faith first and relying on the Savior. During the Face to Face with Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his wife, Sister Susan Bednar, youth learned the pattern for receiving answers to their questions. David Archuleta and Lindsey Stirling, both popular musicians and returned missionaries, answered questions during their Face to Face events about preparing for missions, sharing the gospel, maintaining standards, and increasing self-worth.
