The First Presidency has announced the open house for the Hartford Connecticut Temple will be Friday, September 30, through Saturday, October 22 (except for October 1, 2, 9, and 16). A cultural celebration will be Saturday, November 19.

Reservations for tickets to the free open house are available on tickets.lds.org.

The temple will be dedicated Sunday, November 20, in three sessions: 9:00 a.m., noon, and 3:00 p.m.

Dedicatory sessions will be broadcast to meetinghouses in the stakes and districts in Connecticut and the Hartford Connecticut Temple district. To enable members of those congregations to participate in the temple dedication, the three-hour block of meetings will be canceled that day.

The dedication will be preceded by a cultural celebration featuring music and dance by the local youth of the Church, to be held on the evening of Saturday, November 19, at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford.

President Thomas S. Monson announced Connecticut's first temple during the October 2010 general conference. He also participated in the groundbreaking event for the temple on August 17, 2013. The temple—located on the corner of Farmington Avenue and Melrose Drive in Farmington, Connecticut—will serve members from Connecticut, Rhode Island, southwestern Massachusetts, and eastern New York.
