Members Invited to Participate in April 2012 General Conference
- 31 March - 1 April 2012
Members and others around the world are invited to participate in the 182nd Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to be held on March 31 and April 1, 2012.
Members can participate by attending or watching general conference. In addition, this conference, Church leaders are encouraging new ways of participating through the newly created “Invite Others” section of gc.lds.org.
Members can use the resources under “Invite Others”—social media channels, ready-made widgets, and artful banners—to encourage friends and family to be involved in conference, as well.
A short, shareable video on the page explains what general conference and prophets are and how individuals can watch or listen online or at local meetinghouses.
The four general sessions will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. mountain daylight time. The priesthood session will be held on Saturday, March 31, at 6:00 p.m. mountain daylight time.
Each live event is held in the Conference Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. Ticket information is available on the Temple Square Events website.
Each April, the five sessions of general conference and the Young Women meeting are broadcast via satellite to Church meetinghouses around the world. Conference is also available through multiple channels, including television, radio, the Internet, and other media, such as the Roku device.
