Alex Boyé, musician and member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, will participate in an Evening at the Museum program on October 19, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at the Church History Museum. In the presentation, Brother Boyé will share songs and inspirational stories about his life.

The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are required. Tickets will be available starting September 27 by calling 801-240-9573 between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Free parking for the event will be available at 119 W. North Temple Street.

“History is about preserving and sharing stories,” said program coordinator Peggy Rinehart. “Mr. Boyé has a wonderful personal story to share. We’re excited to hear it through word and music.”

Alex Boyé was born in England to Nigerian parents. After serving a two-year mission in Bristol, England, he began a singing career with success in a popular British vocal group. Later, he moved to Utah to begin a solo career. In 2006 he joined the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. He has released several solo albums and performed roles in movies and theatrical productions.

Evening at the Museum is a series of programs throughout the year designed and sponsored by the Church History Museum to provide patrons with an inspirational experience through immersion in Church history, art, music, and culture.
