Event Description

Experience the wonder and splendor of music and dance as internationally acclaimed Brigham Young University performing groups take the stage in Salt Lake City with BYU Winterfest 2013. Over the course of several weekends, the Ballroom Dance Company, Young Ambassadors, Living Legends, and Men’s Chorus will dazzle audiences with performances showcasing a variety of artistic tastes.

The BYU Winterfest 2013 provides entertainment for audiences of all ages. As part of the Temple Square Performances, Winterfest shows will be held in the Conference Center Theater. Get your tickets early, because with this year’s line-up they will be going fast!
 

Ballroom Dance Company

Widely regarded as one of the premiere collegiate dance teams in the United States, the Ballroom Dance Company combines traditional formation dances and standard ballroom steps with fresh choreography, breathtaking lifts and spins, stunning costumes, and energetic melodies to create a show which delights and entertains audiences of all ages.

 

Young Ambassadors

The Young Ambassadors have delighted audiences in over 67 countries with their quality musical theatre productions. Their show, Harmony: The Music of Life, combines energetic choreography, exciting costumes, and dynamic music to create a memorable performance for the whole family.

 

Living Legends

Living Legends captures the essence of ancient and modern culture in a celebration of Latin American, Native American, and Polynesian song and dance. Traditions come to life as talented descendants of these cultures blend authentic choreography, intricate costumes, and heart-pounding music into one captivating show.


 

Men’s Chorus
Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013

For the first time ever, the BYU Men’s Chorus will be performing their own concert at BYU’s Winterfest. With 190 members, Men’s Chorus is the largest and one of the most popular collegiate male choirs in the United States.  Men’s Chorus will be singing a rousing rendition from “Jungle Book” along with their usual high energy and entertaining numbers that audiences have grown to love. You’re not going to want to miss this performance!

 

Tickets

  • Tickets are required for this event. There is a limit of 10 tickets per order.
  • On Tuesday, November 6, 2012, tickets can be obtained over the Internet or by calling 801-570-0080 (locally) or toll-free 1-866-537-8457 (1-866-LDS-TIKS) beginning at 10:00 a.m.
  • Based on availability, tickets can be obtained in person at the ticket office located at door 4 of the Conference Center Wednesday, November 7, 2012. The ticket office is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Evening performance and matinee performance tickets are $10.00.
  • There is a $1.50 convenience fee added to the cost of each ticket purchased over the Internet.

  • No refunds or exchanges.
  • Children ages two (2) and older are welcome at all performances. No babies, please.
  • Ambulatory seating is available. Patrons who require such seating should inform the ticket office when they obtain tickets or inform Guest Services when they arrive at the event.
  • Patrons should not bring cameras or audio or video recording devices into the performance halls. Photographs are not permitted during the performance.
  • Sunday dress is encouraged.
  • Patrons should turn off pagers, cellular phones, and similar electronic devices during the performance.
  • Food and beverages are not permitted in performance halls.
  • Patrons may not bring packages or backpacks into performance halls.
  • Those attending the production should consider traffic congestion, plan to arrive early, and park in designated parking areas only. On the day of each performance, parking is available under the Conference Center. Please show your event ticket to the parking attendant upon leaving the parking garage.
  • The Conference Center Theater doors will open 60 minutes before each performance start time. Ticket holders are requested to be in their seats no later than 10 minutes before the performance begins.
  • The length of the performance is approximately two hours.
