  • President Monson Funeral Services for President Thomas S. Monson

    Friday, January 12, 12:00 p.m.

    Funeral services for President Thomas S. Monson, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will be held in the Conference Center on Temple Square on Friday, January 12, at 12:00 p.m. MST. The funeral will be open to the public ages 8 and older.

    A public viewing will be held at the Conference Center on Thursday, January 11, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

  • Brigham Young University Winterfest 2018

    Experience the energy and artistry of the internationally acclaimed Brigham Young University performing groups. Over the course of several weekends, the Conference Center Theater will be full of cultural dances, a capella music, stunning costumes, and master instrumentalists and singers. Ballroom Dance Company, BYU Singers, Chamber Orchestra, International Folk Dance Ensemble, Living Legends, Noteworthy, Synthesis, and Vocal Point will dazzle audiences with performances showcasing a variety of artistic tastes.

    Bring in the New Year with this live event launching the 2018 Mutual theme album, Peace in Christ. The LDS youth artists who wrote and recorded the album will present this Tuesday evening concert.

  • January 2018 Worldwide Devotional for Young Adults

    January 14, 6:00 p.m. (MST)

    Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf and his wife, Sister Harriet Uchtdorf, will speak at a worldwide devotional for young adults. The Uchtdorfs will be speaking on the adventure of mortality.

    Tickets are not required to attend the devotional, and seating will be on a first come, first served basis. You receive your seating assignment when you enter the Conference Center. There will be overflow seating available.

  • Utah Youth Orchestras and Ensembles and Sousa Mendes Foundation Presents: Circular 14: The Apotheosis of Aristides

    The Utah Youth Orchestras and Ensembles present the world premiere of the dramatic oratorio Circular 14: The Apotheosis of Aristides by Neely Bruce in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. The concert, conducted by Barlow Bradford, will be held on the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day 2018 and highlights the inspiring true story of Aristides de Sousa Mendes, a Holocaust rescuer who saved thousands of refugee families escaping Nazi-occupied Europe in 1940.

    The Young Ambassadors’ new show, Welcome Home, features music by recording artists Ed Sheeran, Billy Joel, Judy Garland, the Beach Boys, Rascal Flatts, Brad Paisley, and Frank Sinatra. Welcome Home, a musical kaleidoscope of family fun, delivers dynamic choreography, colorful costumes, and a musical lineup of international hits and popular Broadway show tunes from Hamilton, Footloose, In the Heights, Singin’ in the Rain, and the beloved Wizard of Oz. This is a show you won’t want to miss!

    Meet the Mormons, Days of Harmony, and A Day for the Eternities will be showing in the Legacy Theater. Meet the Mormons examines the very diverse lives of devout members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Days of Harmony and A Day for the Eternities are two films that depict the translation of the Book of Mormon, the restoration of the priesthood, and the organization of the Church.
