Christmas lights on historic Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah, turn on November 29, 2013, the day after Thanksgiving.

Temple Square will once again become a wonderland of festive lights and nativity scenes this Christmas season. Visitors of all ages are invited to come enjoy the lights, watch the Christmas story unfold outside the South Visitors’ Center, and listen to a variety of performances by local musicians.

The Christmas lights, displays, and musical performances will run from the day after Thanksgiving until New Year's Eve, November 29 to December 31, 2013.  All “Christmas on Temple Square” events and activities are free.

Then be sure to return Monday and Tuesday, December 30 and 31, for EVE performances beginning at 5 p.m. each evening and culminating in fireworks at midnight New Year's eve on West Temple by the Salt Palace. All EVE performances on Temple Square are free and open to all ages. Other downtown EVE events require an entrance pass; visit eveslc.com for more information. Plan to arrive early to allow for parking and traffic congestion.
