Find out what Church members will be studying during 2018, including a new curriculum and structure for Relief Society and Melchizedek Priesthood Sunday meetings.

The Church has announced the curriculum that Church members will be studying during 2018.

You can find the list of manuals for Melchizedek Priesthood, Relief Society, Primary, Sunday School, Young Men, and Young Women in Instructions for Curriculum 2018on ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

Use digital manuals where possible

Where possible, the Church continues to encourage students and teachers to use digital versions of 2018 curriculum materials that are conveniently found on ChurchofJesusChrist.org and in the Gospel Library mobile app.

Melchizedek Priesthood and Relief Society

Adults will follow the new Come, Follow Me—For Melchizedek Priesthood and Relief Society curriculum for Sunday meetings, which will be available in the November 2017 and May 2018 Ensign and Liahona magazines in print and online. The first Sunday will be a council meeting. During the second and third Sundays, members will study, discuss, and apply general conference messages. The fourth-Sunday lesson will be on a doctrinal topic selected by general Church leaders. (See related story.)

Primary

The theme for Primary sharing time in 2018 is “I Am a Child of God.” Leaders can find the 2018 Outline for Sharing Time and other helpful resources online.

Primary teachers and leaders will use the following manuals in 2018:

Nursery Class (ages 18 months–2 years): Behold Your Little Ones: Nursery Manual

Sunbeam Class (age 3 years): Primary 1: I Am a Child of God

CTR 4, 5, 6, and 7 (ages 4–7 years): Primary 2: Choose the Right A

Valiant 8, 9, 10, and 11 (ages 8–11 years): Primary 6: Old Testament

Aaronic Priesthood and Young Women

In 2018, Aaronic Priesthood quorum advisers and Young Women instructors will teach from Come, Follow Me: Learning Resources for Youth.

The Mutual theme for 2018 is Doctrine and Covenants 19:23: “Learn of me, and listen to my words; walk in the meekness of my Spirit, and you shall have peace in me.” (See related story.)

The theme may be used to enrich Mutual opening exercises, as a topic for sacrament
meeting talks given by the youth, or to provide focus for youth activities, including camps, youth
 conferences, and devotionals.

Videos, music, and suggestions for using the theme throughout the year will be available at youth.ChurchofJesusChrist.org in the coming months. Additional resources will be published in Church magazines throughout 2018.

The Young Men have a new program replacing Varsity and Venturing Scouting. (See related article.) See Teacher and Priest Activities for the new program.

Other helpful sites include Youth Activities, For the Strength of Youth, Personal Progress, and Duty to God.

Sunday School

The adult Sunday School course of study for 2018 is the Old Testament. Manuals for Gospel Doctrine classes are the Old Testament Gospel Doctrine Teacher’s Manual and the Old Testament Class Member Study Guide.

New members, investigators, and members returning to activity will study from Gospel Principles.

Youth Sunday School classes will study from Come, Follow Me: Learning Resources for Youth.
