2018 Mission President Called to Serve in Argentina

The Church has announced new mission president assignments for 111 missions, effective July 2018.  Map by Deseret News.

The following new mission president and his wife have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service this month, July of 2018. Biographies of other mission presidency couples have been published throughout 2018 on news.lds.org. Find other published biographies.

Paul A. and Deniece Westover

Argentina Santa Fe Mission

Paul Arnon Westover, 64, and Deniece Jensen Westover, six children, Stafford Ward, Lake Oswego Oregon Stake: Argentina Santa Fe Mission, succeeding President Gabriel Pérez Benavides and Sister Margot Faundez de Pérez. President Westover is a former stake president, stake presidency counselor, high councilor, bishop, elders quorum president, temple ordinance worker, and missionary in the Bolivia Mission. Born in Walnut Creek, California, to Darrell Jay and Evelyn Westover.

Sister Westover is a former stake Young Women presidency counselor, stake Young Women camp director, ward Young Women president, ward Relief Society and Primary presidency counselor, and seminary teacher. Born in Provo, Utah, to Blain and Virginia Jensen.
