Aldo Francesconi, 67, Vila Sônia Ward, São Paulo Brazil Stake, called as president of the Porto Alegre Brazil Temple, succeeding President J. Merrill Warthen. President Francesconi’s wife, Francily Parronchi Francesconi, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Janice Warthen. He serves as first counselor in the São Paulo Brazil Temple presidency. He has previously served as president of the Brazil Manaus Mission, stake president, bishop, and branch president. Retired manager of training and operations at the Brazil Missionary Training Center, he was born in São Paulo, Brazil, to Oswaldo Francesconi and Alzira Augusta Lopes.

Sister Francesconi serves as assistant to the matron at the São Paulo Brazil Temple. She served with her husband as he presided over the Brazil Manaus Mission and has also served as stake and ward Young Women president, stake and ward Primary president, family history consultant, and temple ordinance worker. She was born in São Paulo, Brazil, to Francisco Parronchi Filho and Alice Prandi Vicente.
