Inspiring messages from Elder Neil L. Andersen and Elder Quentin L. Cook, both of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and other General Authorities and general officers of the Church will be streamed live on the ChurchofJesusChrist.org home page and at lds.org/discoverfamily in English and nine other languages.
Elder Quentin L. Cook and Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will share messages during Family Discovery Day, streamed online at ChurchofJesusChrist.org on February 14.
Family Discovery Day for Church members is a popular component of the annual RootsTech family history conference that takes place in Salt Lake City each year. This year’s RootsTech conference is February 11–14. According to event organizers, the free reservations to attend the one-day event specifically for members filled up quickly. About 13,000 people are expected to attend in person this year, but members all over the world can watch the events online.
Following is the schedule of the Family Discovery Day sessions and speakers that will be streamed online. All times are in mountain standard time (MST).

Find, Take, Teach
Church leaders will be encouraging members to follow three simple steps in their family history efforts, summarized simply as find, take, and teach:
1. Find the name of one or more ancestors using FamilySearch.org or the My Family: Stories That Bring Us Together booklet.
2. Take their names to the temple or share the names so others can, as a family whenever possible.
3. Teach your family and others you lead how to do the same.
Content from the presentations (video and text) will be available for later viewing or for use with Stake Family Discovery Days within weeks of the conference at ChurchofJesusChrist.org/discoverfamily. Leaders hope their messages reach as many members as possible through various mediums and channels and social sharing.

RootsTech is a global family history event where people of all ages learn to discover and share their family stories and connections through technology. The first annual conference was held in 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and is hosted by FamilySearch and sponsored by leading genealogical organizations.
