Australian Surfing Event Helps Motivate Potential Missionaries

  • 16 December 2010

What began simply as an opportunity to help young men from the coastal surfing region of New South Wales, Australia, avoid competing on Sunday has turned into a popular event that has helped motivate many of the participants to serve missions.

After five annual Surfest competitions, the event is bigger than ever and looks to continue on, even though most of the original youth participating in the contest are now serving missions. The contest has helped youth enjoy friendships with each other and helped solidify their decisions to serve missions.
