Brisbane Stake Presents Successful Musical

  • 13 January 2011

Stake members produced the play from beginning to end, including costumes, backdrops, and props.

It began as an idea for a ward activity and blossomed into a production that involved the entire Brisbane Australia North Stake, drawing more than 800 people to the final performances. Enacting the story of Esther as a theatrical musical blessed members of the stake in several ways. Participation helped strengthen testimonies of fasting, provided a safe and wholesome environment for sharing talents, and produced new friendships, among other things. Perhaps the most touching outcome of the production came when one of the performers decided to be baptized as a result of her experiences.
