Bringing a Piece of Jerusalem to Utah
Replicas of parts of Jerusalem are being built near the Church’s motion picture back lot in Utah.
Not far from Provo, Utah, the Church is rebuilding parts of ancient Jerusalem. The replica, situated on roughly one square mile of Church-owned property in southern Utah County, will be the set for the New Testament film project, which is scheduled to begin filming in May 2011. The video productions will be used for various Church projects, including Mormon Messages, missionary efforts, the Church Educational System curriculum, and more.
