Each conference members of the Church raise hands to sustain the prophet, the First Presidency, the Quorum of the Twelve, and “the other General Authorities, Area Seventies, and general auxiliary presidencies as presently constituted” (“The Sustaining of Church Officers,” October 2013 general conference). Perhaps one way to act upon that sustaining vote even outside of conference is to become familiar with the faces, names, and counsel of those Church leaders.
The Church News has published a chart of the General Authorities of the Church that is easy to access in print and online. The October 27, 2013, edition of the Church News contains a two-page chart of the General Authorities, and that same chart is also available as a PDF for download at the following link: General Authorities—October 2013.
Consider printing and using the chart as a visual aid for lessons in Primary, Sunday School, family home evening, seminary, or institute. The chart could also be printed and framed for more permanent reference at home, at church, or in a seminary or institute building.
