Church Announces 2015 LDSTech Gospel App and Game Contest

  • 24 April 2015

LDSTech is inviting developers worldwide to “create something worthy” by participating in the 2015 Gospel App and Game Contest.

Article Highlights

  • The contest calls for developers to “create something worthy.”
  • Submissions will be accepted and winners announced in each of four categories: Children, Youth, Families, and Other.
  • The registration deadline is July 18, 2015, and submissions are accepted until September 18, 2015.

After a successful international LDSTech Gospel App and Game Contest last year, organizers expect even greater participation in 2015.

All who are interested in designing something new are invited to join. The registration deadline for participating in the 2015 contest is July 18, 2015, and submissions will be accepted up through September 18, 2015.

The theme “Create Something Worthy” continues from last year, with the same contest rules. Developers of all levels and abilities worldwide, including those who missed last year’s deadline or who have revamped their apps with significant improvements, are encouraged to participate in 2015.

Participants should create something new, distinctive, and different in any of four categories: Children, Youth, Families, and Other. Ideal entries should help members and their families teach or learn the gospel, feel the Spirit, or serve one another better. Games should be fun, be free of graphic violence, and connect with gospel-oriented themes.

Contest participants retain ownership of their intellectual property, and awards, prizes, and recognition will be offered in each of the four categories. Fully developed games or apps should run on an iOS, Android, Windows, or online platform. Contest participants will not be required to travel and demo in person.

Winners will be announced on October 15, 2015, at the 2015 LDSTech Conference, and once they are selected, LDSTech will help promote winning apps and games.

To be eligible to win, participants must register and submit their apps by the deadlines using the Registration Form.
