In December, the Church began distributing Strength of Youth Media 2011 DVD: We Believe (formerly A Brand New Year), to Church units around the world to use in support of the 2011 Mutual theme, Articles of Faith 1:13.

The DVD includes inspiring true stories of youth, messages from Church leaders, and five original songs for youth, leaders, and families. Portions of the DVD may be used to introduce the 2011 Mutual theme and to supplement quorum meetings, classes, youth conference, and other youth activities throughout the year.

The 13th Article of Faith reads: “We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, of good report, or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.”

Much of the DVD's content consists of youth testimonies and motivational experiences, such as the young Aaronic Priesthood holder in Florida who created a domino effect of gospel sharing and conversion when he shared the gospel with some of his friends, or the youth group in Guatemala City that cleaned a neighborhood ravaged by a recent volcanic eruption and tropical storm.

The music, messages, and testimonies can be used to enrich youth classes, meetings, and activities throughout the year.

All of the material will be available online for download at youth.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

The DVD will include translation in the following languages: Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

The DVD is organized into five segments that focus on inspiring youth to live according to Article of Faith 13. The sixth section offers guidance for leaders and parents in using the media.
