“Press forward with a steadfastness in Christ” is the Mutual theme for 2016.
Church leaders have announced the Mutual theme for 2016.
The theme is “Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life” (2 Nephi 31:20).
The theme may be used to enrich Mutual opening exercises, as a topic for sacrament meeting talks by youth, or to provide focus for youth activities, including camps, youth conferences and devotionals, according to a letter sent to local Church leaders.
Resources for introducing the theme, including videos and music, will be available to leaders online by the end of 2015. Additional materials supporting the theme will be made available in Church magazines and on ChurchofJesusChrist.org throughout 2016, according to the letter.
