As part of the Church’s worldwide “A Savior Is Born” initiative, members of the London England Hyde Park Stake and the England London Mission are portraying Joseph and Mary in a live Nativity scene located outside the Hyde Park Chapel on Exhibition Road. The live Nativity scene will be staffed with actors from 5:00 to 7:00 each night until December 21.

The Hyde Park Chapel, which is located across from the Science Museum near the South Kensington subway station in London, is in one of the most popular areas in the city. More than 10 to 11 million people walk on this street annually.

Alan Phillips, president of the London England Hyde Park Stake, said, “At a time of so much conflict, fear, and uncertainty, we look forward to sharing the joy of our Savior’s birth and the peace that such knowledge brings.”

Elder Duane Cardall, director of the Hyde Park Visitors’ Center, said, “The purpose of this live Nativity is to remind us that Jesus Christ came into the world. He was born; He lived; He died and was resurrected. And because of Him all humankind will have the blessing of eternal life. It is our mission to proclaim the divinity of Jesus Christ. This is one way we have chosen to do that.”
