Coverage of the April 2017 General Conference Saturday Afternoon Session

President Henry B. Eyring, First Counselor in the First Presidency, conducted the Saturday afternoon session of the 187th Annual General Conference, during which members across the globe were introduced to six new General Authorities and a new Relief Society General Presidency.
Church members sustained Sister Jean B. Bingham, Sister Sharon Eubank, and Sister Reyna I. Aburto as the new Relief Society General Presidency (see related story). Sister Linda K. Burton, Sister Carole M. Stephens, and Sister Linda S. Reeves were released after serving for five years as the Relief Society General Presidency.
In addition, Church members sustained six new General Authority Seventies: Elder Taylor G. Godoy, Elder Joni L. Koch, Elder Adilson de Paula Parrella, Elder John C. Pingree Jr., Elder Brian K. Taylor, and Elder Taniela B. Wakolo (see related story).
President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Second Counselor in the First Presidency, presented the sustaining of all General Authorities and the Church’s General Auxiliary leaders. He also presented the sustaining of 36 Area Seventies.
Brother Kevin R. Jergensen delivered the Church Auditing Department report. The Church’s statistical report was given by Brother Brook P. Hales.
Prayers were offered by Elder Von G. Keetch and Elder Hugo Montoya, General Authority Seventies.
Music was provided by a family choir from stakes in Tremonton, Garland, and Fielding, Utah. Sister Jessica Lee Gilbert directed the choir, with Sister Bonnie Goodliffe on the organ.
