Elder Ballard to Close BYU Women’s Conference April 30–May 1
PROVO, UTAH
Brigham Young University will host the 2015 BYU Women’s Conference, the largest two-day gathering of women of the Church, on April 30 and May 1.
This year’s theme, “My Soul Delighteth in the Covenants of the Lord,” comes from 2 Nephi 11:5. Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will speak at the Friday afternoon closing session. Elder Ballard’s talk will be streamed live Friday at 3:45 on BYUtvas well as on the home page of ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
Thursday’s featured speakers will include Sister Wendy Watson Nelson, wife of Elder Russell M. Nelson, and Sister Bonnie L. Oscarson, Young Women general president. Friday’s speakers will include BYU President Kevin J Worthen and his wife, Sister Peggy Worthen.
The conference, cosponsored by the Relief Society, will have more than 200 presenters sharing their perspectives and insights on a variety of topics of interest and concern to LDS women of all ages.
The conference also includes daytime service projects, a Thursday evening of service called “Lives to Brighten,” an instant choir, sharing stations, and a concert Thursday evening of music and messages from popular LDS artists. Conference information is available at womensconference.byu.edu.
Following the conference, select talks will be available for viewing on KBYU and BYUtv. An archive of selected transcripts of talks will be available in late summer. (See the 2014 archive.)
